REVIEW OF REVIEWS
Reviewers have been universal in their praise of the 115mm telescope and others in the Meade Series 6000 range. Visually, the telescopes produce star views of excellent sharpness and contrast. Star images were found to be pin-point across the entire field of view, even when used with a low-power 25mm eyepiece. Even on difficult targets, like the Moon, reviewers found no evidence of colour fringing.
Images produced by the telescopes were also excellent, with excellent star images in all but the extreme corners a DLSR frame.. This is normal, and Meade do have a field flattener ($199.00), specifically designed for the Series 6000 Apo Refractor range. But please note that the field flattener is not required for visual use, where it might slightly reduce the sharpness of visual views.
